In the course of the Covid-19 pandemic, it has become clear what relevance non-contact psychotherapeutic online interventions in mental health care could possibly have in the future. The present pilot study aims to test whether a Metta-based group program is also an acceptable and feasible treatment when conducted as video-based intervention. Metta meditations aim at showing unconditional benevolence and kindness to oneself and to other people.

Behavioural experiments are an integral component of cognitive therapy (CT) for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), but they can be overlooked due to practical constraints and therapist concerns. Here we describe why behavioural experiments are an important part of CT, where they fit into different elements of treatment for PTSD, how to design and implement effective experiments including coping with unexpected outcomes, and how to incorporate behavioural experiments when therapy is delivered remotely. Clinical case examples are used to illustrate a range of idiosyncratic and creative behavioural experiments.

Voraussetzung für die Approbation im Rahmen der neuen Psychotherapeutenausbildung ist u.a. das Bestehen einer anwendungsorientierten Parcoursprüfung. Da diese Prüfung von Lehrenden und Studierenden als Herausforderung angesehen wird, wurde eine Kurzform der Parcoursprüfung im Rahmen einer Modulprüfung des MSc-Studiengangs Psychologie eingeführt und evaluiert.
