Conversational fluency and executive function in adolescents with conduct disorder
Turkstra LS, Fuller T, Youngstrom E, Green K and Kuegeler E
EF impairments are known to occur among adolescents with conduct disorder (CD) but their influence on communication ability is not well-understood. The purpose of this study was to relate scores on a clinical EF questionnaire to performance on a communication task. Extemporaneous conversation was chosen as the target task, because it places a high demand on EFs and it is a critical medium for adolescent social development.

Onyike CU, Sloane KL, Smyth SF, Appleby BS, Blass DM and Rabins PV
